OUR WORK
Project Spotlight: Lady Parts logo
Every project tells a story of collaboration, strategy, and results. Our spotlights showcase our design process and how Haywood Creative Design turns client goals into powerful, tangible outcomes.

LADYPARTS, a jazz vocal trio with three distinctly different members, needed a logo that reflected their unique styles, from varying hair and height to overall vibe. One of the members, Crystal Lewis, reached out with a rough sketch of their hairstyles as inspiration. From there, I brought her vision to life, creating a logo that highlights their individuality while tying them together as a cohesive group.

FROM VISION TO VIBE
The project began with a collaborative conversation in which I listened closely to the client’s vision and goals. From there, I conducted visual research, exploring logos from similar eras and with a matching aesthetic to ground the design in a style that resonated with her ideas. Drawing from this inspiration, I created initial concepts by experimenting with typefaces, head illustrations, and decorative elements. I then shared these early explorations with the client to gather feedback and make sure we were aligned on direction.

FROM
FEEDBACK
TO FOCUS
Based on her feedback, I refined the designs, adjusting the typography, layout, and illustration details to reflect her opinions and the vibe she wanted, ultimately resulting in two distinct logo options. Each design captured a different facet of the desired tone and visual identity, giving the client two solid choices to choose between.

BRINGING IT TO LIFE
After further refinement, I presented the two polished versions for final review. The client selected Concept 1, which has since been successfully implemented across various marketing materials, background graphics, and merchandise. I’m honored I was able to bring their vision to life.
